To promote the development of housing that all Arkansans can afford, Housing Arkansas also serves as an avenue for current information about housing issues facing the state and nation to educate those interested in affordable housing issues.

Local and National Organizations

AARP

AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, with a membership of more than 37 million, that helps people 50+ have independence, choice and control in ways that are beneficial to them and society as a whole.

ACHANGE

ACHANGE is a collective voice that promotes quality, affordable housing and community economic development throughout the state of Arkansas.  The coalition focuses on the need for affordable housing solutions for Arkansas citizens.  ACHANGE supports education; provides training; encourages responsible growth and sustainability; and works to influence public policy on issues related to affordable housing in Arkansas.

Arkansas Development Finance Authority

ADFA administers funding in the form of tax exempt bonds and other debt instruments through its series of program activities that support state  Economic Development, Homeownership, and Affordable Rental Housing.

Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance

Through our public/private partnerships, we are connecting the dots between poverty, hunger, and other aspects of life that keep low-income Arkansans stuck in a cycle of struggle.  Un- and under-employment, children’s health, senior hospitalization, availability of healthcare, grade-level reading, high school graduation rates, energy and housing assistance, wage inequality, and so many other poverty-related issues directly impact the ability of families to put food on the table. The Housing Trust Fund Project

The Housing Trust Fund Project was created in 1986, is a special initiative of the Center for Community Change. The Project operates as a clearinghouse of information on housing trust funds throughout the country, and provides technical assistance to organizations and agencies working to create or implement these funds.​

Disability Rights Arkansas

Our mission is to vigorously advocate for and enforce the legal rights of people with disabilities.  We envision an Arkansas where people with disabilities are equal members in their communities and can dictate the course of their own lives through self-determination.  DRA treats all people with dignity, respect, and compassion.

Alzheimer Support

Alzheimer Support is a free service that assists families who have loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia. Through our free search tool and nationwide database of Alzheimer’s care facilities, families who need care for their loved ones can locate licensed care homes and communities that are best equipped to provide care.

National Housing Conference

A membership drawn from every industry segment forms the foundation for NHC's broad, nonpartisan advocacy for national policies and legislation that promote suitable housing in a safe, decent environment.​

National Housing Trust Fund

The National Housing Trust Fund Campaign is working to establish a National Housing Trust Fund with ongoing, permanent, dedicated, and sufficient sources of revenue to build, rehabilitate and preserve 1.5 million units of housing for the lowest-income families over the next 10 years.

Senior Guidance

SeniorGuidance.org provides comprehensive resources on various senior living options, including assisted living facilities, senior living communities, nursing homes, independent living communities, continuing care retirement communities (CCRC), and all other long-term senior care options, including memory care such as Alzheimer's or Dementia​​

The Medicare Plans Patient Resource Center supports the families and loved ones of older adults and people with disabilities. We’re dedicated to providing access to affordable health care through educational programs, interactive resources, and functional tools. Our team of experts helps current, and future Medicare patients build their understanding of Medicare while navigating the complex system. USDA Rural Development

Rural Development supports financial programs support such essential public facilities and services as water and sewer systems, housing, health clinics, emergency service facilities and electric and telephone service that promote economic development by supporting loans to businesses through banks , credit unions and community-managed lending pools.
