Arkansas Coalition of Housing and Neighborhood Growth for Empowerment (ACHANGE)  presents Navigating Change: Housing Tools for Today’s Challenges, a symposium, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, April 28 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 201 South Shackelford, in Little Rock.

Join community development professionals, grassroots organizers and public policy makers from across Arkansas to learn about successful efforts to establish a State Housing Trust Fund, the  Neighborhood Stabilization Fund, the National Community Stabilization Trust and more.

State Senator Joyce Elliot will be the keynote speaker. Senator Elliot has been a champion for affordable housing and was instrumental in the creation of the Arkansas Housing Trust Fund that was passed and signed into law this past legislative session.

Other symposium speakers will include:

    • Mary Brooks, Center for Community Change
    • Evelyn Brown, Local Initiative Support Corporation
    • Sarah Braswell, Arkansas Development Finance Authority
    • Lou Tobian, Housing Arkansas and AARP
